Russia's MTS to acquire 51% stake in Comstar

Mobile TeleSystems, Russia's largest mobile phone operator, will acquire a controlling stake in fixed-line operator Comstar-United TeleSystems for $1.3 billion in a bid to gain access to key growth markets in commercial and residential broadband.
