TiE Silicon Valley, a not for profit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in the Bay Area and globally, today announced the organization has added three game-changing thought-leaders to speak at TiEcon 2016, scheduled for May 6-7, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. Recently added keynote speakers include Brian Jenkins, a counter-terrorism expert, Vishal Sikka, CEO of Infosys, and Bonny Simi, President of Jet Blue Technology Ventures.
Brian Jenkins is known as the world’s leading authority on terrorism and sophisticated crime and will focus his discussion on “Counter terrorism and warfare: why does Silicon Valley matter?” Mr. Jenkins' presentation will discuss the dramatic change in the use of communication technologies by terrorist groups over the past decades and will relate this change to terrorists’ evolving objectives and strategies. Mr. Jenkins’ discussion will inspire young entrepreneurs to develop solutions to address security and terrorism challenges.
Vishal Sikka is an innovative Indian American CEO and MD of Infosys, one of the largest IT companies in the world. Prior to joining Infosys, Dr. Sikka was a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG and the Global Managing Board, leading all SAP products and innovation globally. Dr. Sikka is credited with accelerating SAP’s development processes, transforming its innovation culture. In addition, he has led several successful product co-creation initiatives with clients and is the creator the concept of ‘timeless software’, the renewal of products without disruption to customer environments.
Bonny Simi is a three-time Olympian and 10-time National Champion in the sports of Luge and Bobsled and is the current President at JetBlue Technology Ventures. Throughout her Olympic career, Ms. Simi learned the values of endurance, focus and discipline, all characteristics that guide an entrepreneur. She is a strategic leader with 25 years experience in innovation, customer service and strategic planning, and is a sought after thought-leader and speaker experienced in how to turn the voices of the customer and employees into actionable insights for strategic and operational decisions.
