The Publicity Club of New England, the region's oldest not-for-profit public relations trade organization, today announced that Emmy Award-winning journalist, WCVB’s Frank Holland, will host the 48th Annual Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony ("The Bells") on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the House of Blues in Boston, Mass. from 6:30-10 p.m. (Photo: Business Wire)

“Frank Holland’s presence and personality will bring the ultimate balance of energy and reverence to celebrate the best of communications in New England,” said Karyn Martin, president of the Publicity Club of New England for the 2015-2016 season. “Frank has become a leading force behind the news in New England, and we are honored to have him host this year. This is an evening to kick back with your colleagues and take a moment to recognize just how amazing they all are.”

Frank Holland has been a reporter for WCVB Channel 5's award-winning NewsCenter 5 team since July of 2014. Previously he has been a reporter and anchor in Chicago and Detroit. Always actively involved in his local community, Holland has lent his time and talents volunteering for the YMCA in Chicago and is a member of the Urban League.

For this year’s charity recipient, Holland has selected Guide Right, a youth-oriented leadership, mentoring, college preparatory programs, and tutoring program for high school and college students supported by the Greater-Boston Kappa Charities and affiliated with the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. The Pub Club will collect donations at the Bell Ringer Awards ceremony for Guide Right and make a matching donation in honor of Holland.

The Bells is a long-standing tradition of celebrating the best of the best in the public relations, communication and marketing fields in New England. Building on the success of the 2015 awards, this year's celebration at the House of Blues Boston features additional seating, updated menus, and a format that will make it easy for attendees to hear more about the winners. The evening will include a networking cocktail hour from 6:30-7:30, the awards presentation from 7:30 – 8:30, and a post-awards celebration from 8:30 – 10 p.m.

Table seating on the main floor is limited, so groups intent on sitting together throughout the evening should purchase early. General admission starts at $75 per member; individual seating is available at $150, with an option to reserve tables of five. The ten tops are sold out. The ticket purchase deadline is June 1, 2016.
