Eros International & Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s Housefull 3 Delivers Biggest Opening Weekend in 2016

Eros International Plc (NYSE:EROS) (“Eros”), a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, announced today the success of one of Bolllywood’s biggest franchises, Housefull 3, at the global box office. In its opening weekend the film collected over Rs. 100.03 crores ($15 million) across the globe. In India the film grossed Rs. 73.02 crores ($11 million), with Rs. 53.31 crores net box office ($8 million) and grossed over $4 million overseas. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros International, and directed by Farhad-Sajid, the film starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan opened worldwide on June 3, 2016.

In Fiji, Housefull 3, one of the most anticipated films of the year, became the highest ever grossing Bollywood film, beating Eros’s own Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), which previously held the record.
