R.L. Schreiber, Inc., a family owned manufacturer and distributor of professional flavor solutions, announces its plan to invest an additional $1.6 million in 2017 to further enhance its network of over 100 independent distributors. This investment will fund upgraded field technology, greater marketing support, and more people resources to help the company reach its aggressive growth goals as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2018.

J. Ronald Frump, CEO, has spearheaded the turnaround of R.L. Schreiber, Inc., the Pompano Beach based manufacturer of food bases, spices, seasonings, and custom spice blends. Under his leadership, the Company enjoyed a 9% increase in sales in 2016, fueling a double digit increase in net income.

In a recent interview, Mr. Frump summarized the Company’s new strategic direction, “R.L. Schreiber, Inc. has been a chef driven, premier provider of flavor solutions to the foodservice industry since 1968. However, in recent years, the Company had lost its focus on its key point of difference, its independent distributor network. Our new strategic plan outlines five key strategic objectives all focused on helping our independent distributors be more productive and profitable. In addition, the Company is making additional capital investments in its new 125,000 square foot production facility in Lebanon, Kentucky. Specialized production lines and additional automation of supply chain activities will allow the Company to offer more specialized product offerings that are increasingly in demand.
