SGI Scales Up at Supercomputing 2009 With HPC Product Launch and Showcase of Leading HPC Solutions

SGI (NASDAQ:SGI), a global leader in HPC and data center solutions, will showcase its foremost technology offerings that scale from the personal supercomputer to its largest scale-up high performance computing (HPC) platform at Supercomputing 2009, November 14 – 20 in Portland, Oregon, in booth #1721. SGI will also unveil and demonstrate its newest scale-up server product at the conference.

Other in-booth demonstrations will include: Octane™ III, SGI’s personal supercomputer, ICE Cube™ modular data center, CloudRack™ scalable workgroup clusters, SGI® Altix® ICE departmental server, and SGI® InfiniteStorage hardware and software products.

Industry leading SGI customers will also present their successes with SGI technologies. SGI Professional Services representatives will discuss how customers can optimize infrastructure, enhance efficiency and deliver meaningful, measurable value with SGI services.

Dr. Eng Lim Goh, chief technology officer for SGI, will present “Scalable Architecture for the Many-Core and Exascale Era” at the Exhibitor Speaker Forum on Tuesday, November 17, at 2:30 p.m. PST in room E143-144. Dr. Goh will also speak about scale-up computing with Intel® Xeon® Nehalem-EX processors in the Intel Theater within the Intel booth #1935 on Wednesday, November 18, at 4:00 p.m. PST.
