AirPlus Survey Reveals Desire for International Collaboration for Security of Travelers

AirPlus International, a global provider of corporate travel payment solutions, releases February’s The Wire…from AirPlus entitled: Beyond Airport Security. More than 70% believe that the global implementation of body scan technology will not hurt travel to the US and most agree that further concentration and collaboration internationally on the topic of traveler safety is necessary. In fact, 68% want further concentration on the “next threat” rather than the “recent attempt” and 62% want to ensure better communication of watch lists is realized on a global basis. “It’s clear from our survey that the international community wants to see further collaboration and resources dedicated to travel security threats, with over 65% supporting increased and standardized global screening procedures,” said Richard Crum, President of AirPlus International, Inc. “Nothing is more important to a travel manager than the safety of their travelers.”
