The Southland Symphony Orchestra returns (again) to live, in-person concerts on Sunday March 20th with a benefit concert featuring Ruslan Biryukov at Bethel Congregational Church in Ontario, California.
ONTARIO, Calif. - Feb. 11, 2022 - PRLog -- The Southland Symphony Orchestra of Ontario California, Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann, Music Director & Conductor, presents RUSLAN BIRYUKOV - Virtuoso Cellist with the SSO performing in a special, LIVE, IN-PERSON, concert!

- Rococo Variations, for solo cello and orchestra, by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky
- Allegro Appassionato, for solo cello and orchestra, by Camille Saint-Saëns
- Romanian Folk Dances, for orchestra, by Bela Bartok
- Notturno from Midsummer Night's Dream, by Felix Mendelssohn
- Symphony No. 6 in F major, K. 43, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Bethel Congregational Church has hosted the SSO since its founding in 2011, and the SSO wants to help, as Bethel undertakes some long-needed repairs and restoration of the beautiful historic church. Bethel was built in 1912, and is a stunning example of early 20th century Gothic Revival architecture. (The repairs and restoration were originally planned to begin in mid 2020, but have been delayed by the Covid pandemic). The SSO is excited to support the effort to restore this community treasure!
