Even minor slips on the road can lead to costly damages, but in many instances that’s the best case scenario.
The worst case scenario happened just recently for one young woman who was just trying to get home from college for the weekend - or it would have been the worst case scenario if not for the decisive actions of several good Samaritans.
“I actually don’t remember much from the whole thing. I just remember feeling like everything would be okay. There was a lady who kept patting my head and reminding me that help was coming. They even helped me call my parents, so my mom was on the phone talking to me and that was just so comforting.”
A young college student was on her way home from an exciting first month back at school. She says it happened in the blink of an eye - her truck slipped on an icy patch of road and subsequently rolled several times, coming to a rest upside down just off the road. Many people witnessed the wreck, but only a few stopped to check on the young woman who had crawled from the truck’s cab in a daze. Those who stopped to help kept her still and calm while they contacted emergency services and even the student’s parents. They even covered her in spare jackets to keep her warm.
The vehicle was taken to Addison collision center Complete Collision for evaluation and repairs. Complete Collision is a Dallas-Fort Worth staple, and a veteran of over two decades of winters. A Complete Collision representative commented, “The vehicle was completely totaled. Actually, when we heard the story behind the truck, we couldn’t believe it. It’s very moving, we’re very glad that she was okay and we’re thankful that there are good folks who are willing to help like that out there.”
