Dollar General Racing Goes Pink to Support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Dollar General’s (NYSE: DG) racing teams are going pink in October in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To further its support of the cause, Dollar General is donating $25,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

“Dollar General is thrilled to once again partner with Braun Racing and Sarah Fisher Racing in support of breast cancer awareness,” said Rick Dreiling, Dollar General’s chairman and CEO. “We are inspired by many of our employees, customers and friends who have been affected by this disease. Together, we hope to raise awareness and increase funding to find cures.”

For the second consecutive year, Dollar General’s NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 32 Braun Racing Toyota and the No. 67 Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) Honda are going pink to raise awareness of breast cancer and support Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The pink No. 32 car will be driven by Reed Sorenson at the annual Dollar General 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 15. SFR’s pink No. 67 Honda will be driven by Fisher at the Miami Indy 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Oct. 2. Additionally, SFR and retail partners Maingate and IMS will collectively donate a portion of the retail sales of all SFR co-branded pink merchandise.
