Ameriprise Financial Appoints Lon R. Greenberg to Board of Directors

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. (NYSE: AMP) today announced that Lon R. Greenberg has been appointed to its board of directors.

Mr. Greenberg, 60, has been chairman of the board of directors of UGI Corporation (NYSE: UGI) since August 1996 and chief executive officer since August 1995. UGI is a distributor and marketer of energy products and services. Prior to joining UGI, Mr. Greenberg was an attorney with the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Mr. Greenberg is a director of Aqua America, Inc. and AmeriGas Propane, Inc. and serves on the board of trustees of Temple University and the Temple University Health System.
