Soar Atlas Now Shows Skiplagging Flights and Hidden City Fares
Soar Atlas now surfaces skip-lagging, also known as hidden-city, flight options alongside standard fares, giving travelers another place to find and compare these itineraries during flight search.

MIAMI - September 17, 2026 - The viral flight booking platform Soar recently announced their new search algorithm called Atlas. Soar Atlas now shows skiplagged flights alongside regular flights.

Skiplagging means booking a flight with a connection, where the connection is the final destination, leaving the second leg empty. These flights are sometimes much cheaper than direct flights.

Some Tips

  • Don't take a checked bag. Your bag may continue to the ticketed final destination after you get off at the connection.
  • Book one-way, not round-trip. Skipping a segment can cause the airline to cancel every remaining flight on the same itinerary, including the return.
  • Be careful with mileage accounts. Airlines can take action against frequent-flyer accounts when they determine their ticketing rules have been violated.
  • Repeated use carries more risk. Airlines prohibit hidden-city ticketing, and repeated patterns may attract more scrutiny.

How Airlines Treat SkipLagging

Airlines generally don't allow hidden-city ticketing under their terms and reserve the right to cancel remaining flights, reprice tickets, restrict accounts, or take other action. That being said, skiplagging is not illegal, and is purely against airline terms. Published data suggests a 99.7% no-issue rate with these fares.

Soar Atlas Now Shows Hidden-City Fares

Soar has introduced its new algorithm, Atlas, to include skip-lagging and hidden-city fares. These options appear in the same results as regular flights, allowing travelers to compare more available ways of reaching their destination in a single search.

What Atlas Does Differently

Atlas isn't built around one specific type of fare. Atlas searches countless different routes, combinations and deals to find you the cheapest flight possible for your search.
