UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 2, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who honors Wyatt Brieser, DPT, MBA, for his leadership and commitment to advancing rural health care. Since 2025, Brieser has served as the chief executive officer of Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, Illinois, overseeing strategic operations and community-focused care initiatives.

About Wyatt Brieser
A highly educated professional, Brieser holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Augustana College, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University. At present, his responsibilities include managing an administrative team, leading strategic planning and budgeting, and initiating major system upgrades, such as the implementation of EPIC electronic medical records. He also oversees the hospital's quality of care for his community.
Throughout his tenure at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Brieser has served the institution and its community, steadily rising through a series of roles. He began as a rehab technician in 2009, then transitioned to a physical therapist in 2012 and eventually moved into management as a long-term care manager in 2019. While in this role, he and his team successfully handled the COVID-19 pandemic without losing a single patient to COVID death. He credits this to his team's collaborative efforts and the resources that were available through the attached hospital.
Additionally, Brieser previously served as director of outpatient services and vice president of operations. He also cofounded Maple City 3 LLC, a storage and rental facility, in 2016. His work at Hammond-Henry Hospital was recognized with the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network 4 Under 40 Award in 2024.
Brieser attributes his many professional achievements to his openness to new challenges and opportunities, as well as the support and guidance he has received. He feels that others' willingness to hold him accountable has helped him excel, and he considers his successful leadership style a combination of listening to those he leads and a commitment to an organization's mission. He believes leaders should truly understand the underlying needs of those they lead. He takes strength and wisdom from team challenges and from his mistakes.
A Commitment to Health Care
Looking to the future, Brieser's main goal is to stabilize Hammond-Henry Hospital in the next few years and make it a preferred place for providers, employees and patients. Beyond that, he plans to become more involved in policy and regulation through groups such as the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network and the Illinois Hospital Association, so he can better advocate for accessible, affordable and high-quality care for rural communities. He is also actively involved in civic life through his membership in Kiwanis International and Rotary International.
Away from work, Brieser enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, hiking, biking and other forms of exercise. He also has a keen interest in hobbies like woodworking and activities with his three young children. He and his wife, Hannah, are raising their family in the Geneseo area, where Brieser grew up and remains deeply committed to strengthening health care for the community he calls home.
