AWIT launches real-world AI for everyone specialization on Coursera, sponsored by Anthropic and 1Password
Learners will gain insight into how Anthropic’s leaders work and think, and optimize their use of AI to feel effortless by completing real-world, hands-on projects with Claude.
“Having helped build Claude, I’m passionate about showing how AI assistants can make work and life easier,” said Dan Mellott, lead instructor for the Specialization. “Friends and colleagues across many ages, professions, and skill levels have asked me how to get the most out of AI. They find most resources too technical and theoretical.”
“In response, I teamed up with AWIT to create these curated experiences between you and Claude. By the end of the Specialization, you’ll make practical AI skills and best practices a habit, and come to view AI use as efficient, indispensable, and fun.”
Featuring Experts in the Practical Application of AI
The courses feature:
- Nancy Wang, Founder and CEO, AWIT; SVP, Engineering at 1Password; Venture Partner at Felicis Ventures
- Dan Mellott, Director of Engineering, 1Password; Former Manager of the API Team, Anthropic; Faculty Lecturer, San Francisco Conservatory of Music; Cofounder, CEO and CTO, Left Turn Studios
- Maggie Vo, Head of the Ministry of Education, Anthropic
- Theodora Chu, Product Manager for API and MCP, Anthropic
- Hannah Pritchett, Head of People, Anthropic
- Alex Sanderford, AI Safeguards, Head of Policy, Enforcement and Threat Intelligence, Anthropic
“With Real-World AI for Everyone, AWIT has expanded from preparing learners from specific career paths to preparing anyone, from any background, to accelerate their career in the age of AI,” said Nancy Wang, Founder and CEO of AWIT. “As with every AWIT product, what sets us apart is our focus on your real-world outcomes. You’ll learn how to make Claude work for you for immediate and tangible impact. AI levels the professional playing field for anyone willing to learn.”
Comprehensive and Career-Relevant Curriculum
The Real-World AI For Everyone Specialization includes three in-depth courses:
- AI Fundamentals with Claude: Build confidence and accelerate your career by incorporating AI. Learn how to use Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, to save time, write more clearly, and unlock creativity at work and in life.
- AI Collaboration with Claude: Work with Claude to refine communication, think critically, and elevate deliverables. Learn prompt engineering to achieve your desired result with a specific prompting strategy.
- AI Automation with Claude: Design Claude Projects that automate repeatable tasks, streamline workflows, and scale impact. Learners go beyond basic prompting to build AI-powered engines that can generate standardized deliverables.
As with AWIT’s previous Coursera Specializations, the program is on track for the American Council on Education (ACE) Credit Recommendation, allowing eligible learners to earn college-level credit.
