First CNG solution to support both NIST FIPS204 MLDSA and FIPS205 SLHDSA certificates, empowering organizations with flexibility and compliance for the quantum era.
Today, pQCee, a quantum-safe cybersecurity innovator, announced the launch of its crypto-agile Cryptographic Next Generation (CNG) provider for Microsoft Windows, designed to help organizations rapidly adapt to evolving post-quantum standards and compliance requirements.
This launch comes at a time when governments and enterprises worldwide are racing to prepare for the quantum threat, with new NIST standards, country-specific mandates, and regulatory deadlines accelerating the need for crypto-agility. According to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), organizations must begin migrating to quantum-safe algorithms to protect sensitive data from future quantum attacks—a challenge compounded by the rapidly changing global regulatory landscape.
pQCee’s crypto-agile CNG provider enables enterprises, governments, and regulated industries to adopt the latest post-quantum algorithms, meet national requirements, and integrate with advanced quantum hardware. More specifically, the solution enables seamless integration of customized algorithms and implementations into the Windows platform, including:
- Other NIST post-quantum algorithms such as XMSS and LMS
- Hybrid combinations of classical and post-quantum algorithms
- Country-specific post-quantum standards (e.g., Malaysia’s MySEAL, South Korea’s KpqC, China’s NGCC)
- Certified implementations under frameworks such as Common Criteria EAL and FIPS140 CMVP
- Hardware integrations with smartcards, USB tokens, HSMs, and TEEs
- Quantum technologies such as Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNG) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD)
“Crypto-agility is the cornerstone of post-quantum security,” said Dr Teik Guan Tan, CEO of pQCee. “At pQCee, we’ve built our CNG provider to give organizations flexibility and confidence—whether they need to adopt global standards, meet national mandates, or integrate cutting-edge quantum technologies. Our mission is to make quantum-safe security practical, adaptable, and future-ready.”
pQCee is already collaborating with leading technology companies including PQShield, and Feitian Technologies to integrate their cryptographic modules within its CNG provider framework. These partnerships will provide customers with the widest possible options when deciding on their post-quantum migration.
Johannes Lintzen, Global Director of Business Development at PQShield, said: “pQCee’s CNG provider creates an important bridge between standards-based implementations of PQC and real-world Windows deployments. By collaborating to integrate PQShield’s FIPS 140-3-certified PQCryptoLib-Core into this framework, we’re ensuring that proven post-quantum cryptography can be used through a mainstream system interface, not treated as a standalone component. This offers a clear, standards-based way to bring quantum-safe capabilities to Windows environments well ahead of the migration timeline.”
“We are delighted to partner with pQCee to bring hardware-based post-quantum security to the Windows platform,” said Mr Geoffrey Li, International Technical Director at Feitian Technologies. “And very honored to contribute our efforts in the post-quantum migration.”
