Brings More than 30 Years of Technology Leadership Experience to Advance Quantum's Global Information Technology Capabilities for Increased Scale and Continued Growth

Quantum Corporation (Nasdaq: QMCO) today announced the appointment of Mike Heuer as its Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. Heuer will lead Quantum’s global information technology organization, including enterprise applications, data, AI adoption, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

“Mike has a proven ability to align technology strategy with business objectives and drive transformation at scale,” said Hugues Meyrath, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quantum. “His experience building high-performing IT organizations that enhance internal workflows and elevate customer experiences will be invaluable as we continue executing on our strategic priorities and further position Quantum for long-term success.”

Heuer most recently served as Chief Information Officer of Legence, a Blackstone portfolio company, where he built the company's IT function and supported its growth through more than 20 acquisitions. Prior to Legence, he was Head of Global Information Technology at Blackhawk Network, where he led the deployment of enterprise ERP and CRM platforms across North America, Europe, and Asia. Earlier in his career, Heuer held technology leadership roles at Peet's Coffee, Blue Shield of California, and Applied Materials, where he led initiatives spanning enterprise applications, infrastructure, and digital transformation. He began his career in Accenture's artificial intelligence practice. Heuer holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Northwestern University and serves on the board of Felidae Conservation Fund.

“What attracted me to Quantum is the opportunity to help accelerate the Company's digital initiatives through advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence,” said Heuer. “Throughout my career, I've focused on building scalable technology innovations that enable improved decision-making, expanded operational efficiencies and strengthened financial performance. I look forward to partnering across the organization to advance Quantum's technology strategies in alignment with the Company’s long-term business goals.”

As part of Heuer’s compensation package and as an inducement material to his acceptance of employment with the company, the Leadership and Compensation Committee of Quantum’s Board of Directors approved the grant of 50,000 restricted stock units, which will vest in three equal annual installments. The grant is subject to Heuer’s continued employment and is expected to be effective on or around October 1, 2026 under Quantum’s 2021 Inducement Plan.
