Region’s First Large-Scale K-Culture Festival to Showcase K-Pop, K-Food, K-Beauty and More
The Korean Wave is coming to the Pacific Northwest in a new two-day festival. K-Era Fest will bring the breadth of contemporary Korean culture, showcasing its growing mainstream influence with K-pop, K-food, K-beauty, fashion, business, and immersive experiences. Presented by OCAAT, tickets are now on sale for K-Era Fest at Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle, October 24-25.
K-Era Fest will assemble globally recognized talent, cultural leaders and industry icons in an interactive event. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the Korean Wave beyond K-pop, including delicious and innovative K-foods, eclectic samples of soju, testing K-beauty products, and more.
“K-culture has reached a point where people don’t have to identify as Korean—or even be longtime fans—to have a connection. With major Korean culture events in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, K-Era Fest brings that momentum to the Pacific Northwest while creating a distinctly regional experience,” said Sabrina Kim, K-Era Fest co-creator and OCAAT co-owner.
Festival programming includes:
- K-pop — Globally charting, member of Shinee, Coachella performer and K-pop artist Taemin in concert at Climate Pledge Arena. Tickets on sale Sept. 23.
- K-food — Celebrated food and lifestyle strategist from Bibigo and Olive Young, Noh Hee-young. Celebrity chefs and Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars’ Austin Kang, chef-owner of Michelin-recognized Mukjung, and Seohyung Cho, chef-owner of acclaimed Euljiro Boseok and Yeouido Yojung. Food experiences include Han River Ramen, Soju Garden and K-Food District.
- K-beauty — Iconic celebrity makeup artist Jung Saem Mool. Dedicated K-Beauty Zone featuring makeup and beauty trends. Skincare tips from the esteemed Korean Dermatological Association.
- Fashion — Seattle-raised global fashion model Irene Kim.
- K-culture creators — Jiny Maeng, Rachel Energy, and Chambo.
- Business — Dedicated B2B program connecting Korean brands with domestic buyers for tangible business opportunities.
“There will also be a business component that is an important part of what makes K-Era Fest different,” said Jessica Yu, K-Era Fest co-creator and OCAAT co-owner. “We’re not simply bringing Korean businesses and American buyers into the same room. We’re formalizing opportunities, building relationships, and creating a bridge to the U.S. with the Pacific Northwest as a gateway market.”
