The performance brand brings its legacy in exploration to the open ocean, outfitting McGregor and his crew on their journey across the Atlantic Ocean

Canada Goose is charting a course on the open ocean as the Official Protective Gear Partner of TRUE WIND, a documentary series following Ewan McGregor and his childhood friend and expedition partner, Eric Strickland, on an unsupported transatlantic sailing expedition — directed by David Alexanian. Working alongside them, the brand has curated an integrated protective gear system curated to perform in whatever conditions the Atlantic brings across thousands of miles at sea.

Built on a shared pursuit of exploration, endurance and performance, the partnership takes the brand’s heritage of protecting people in the harshest conditions, from bitter cold to wind and rain, out to sea. At the heart of the voyage is the Sea Mantra, engineered over six years specifically for extreme wet weather environments.

McGregor and Strickland departed Oban, Scotland, at the end of August and are set to arrive in Brazil later this fall. TRUE WIND, produced in partnership with Elixir Films and Lief Entertainment Company, will document their journey across the Atlantic. The partnership marks the first chapter of a broader story, with more from the expedition to be revealed in the months ahead.
