Mediacom Communications today announced the promotion of Steve Purcell from Group Vice President to Senior Vice President of the company’s Capital Region. In this elevated role, Purcell will continue to oversee all system operations and assets throughout the Capital Region’s nine state service territory.

With more than 35 years of experience in the cable industry, Purcell has built a distinguished career focused on operations and marketing. Prior to his role as Group Vice President, he served as Regional Vice President of Operations for Mediacom’s West Iowa Region.

“Steve has been an exceptional leader for Mediacom and has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our customers, employees and communities,” said Toni Murphy, Executive Vice President of Operations for Mediacom. “His extensive industry experience, strong operational expertise, and ability to build high-performing teams have made him an invaluable member of our leadership team. “I’m honored to take on this expanded role and continue working with the talented teams across the Capital Region,” said Purcell. “I’m proud of what our employees have accomplished and look forward to building on that success as we continue to deliver reliable, high-quality communications services to our customers and support the communities we serve.”
