Messiah DuPont officially announced his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor, launching a bold campaign centered on public safety, election integrity, and restoring accountability within the justice system. DuPont also confirmed that he is more than likely to appear on the primary ballot, with filing preparations well underway and strong early momentum from supporters across the state.

“In this critical moment, our state needs leadership that will prioritize safety, fairness, and trust in our institutions,” said Messiah DuPont. “I am stepping forward because the people of our state deserve a government that upholds the rule of law and protects their voice at the ballot box.”

DuPont’s platform highlights three central pillars:

• Strengthening Voter ID laws to reinforce election integrity and public confidence in democratic processes.

• Repealing Proposition 47, citing its impact on rising property crime and reduced accountability for repeat offenders.

• Fighting for the reinstatement of capital punishment in cases of the most severe and violent crimes, reaffirming the state’s commitment to justice for victims and their families.

DuPont emphasized that restoring public safety and safeguarding the rights of law-abiding citizens will remain the foundation of his campaign.

“Families, business owners, and communities are asking for real change,” DuPont added. “My campaign is about delivering that change through decisive leadership, principled action, and a clear plan to put our state back on track.

Messiah DuPont was born in Detroit, Michigan, where early experiences of community and compassion shaped his commitment to service. After relocating to Georgia as a teenager and later moving to California in his early twenties, he built a diverse career rooted in hard work and purpose — from nonprofit service and work with disabled children to roles in hospitality. Driven by a calling to support others spiritually and emotionally, he founded Gold Diamond, a faith-based nonprofit that has guided more than 3,000 people through prayer, counseling, and motivational outreach.

As a foster parent to his younger sister and a lifelong learner with multiple professional licenses, DuPont has continued to expand his impact through entrepreneurship, founding WestPark Way, a private land development company, and The Church of Spirituality, a producer of spiritual candles and sacred products.
