Those who wish to get an EMDR certification are required to complete 20 hours of consultation with an EMDRIA-approved consultant. CMCC is always seen making efforts to expand the education on eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). This certification provides an excellent opportunity for professionals not only to get certified EMDR but also to work alongside Suzanne Muirheid, who is a qualified trauma therapist, an EMDRIA-approved consultant, and a facilitator with the EMDR Institute.
Suzanne comes with extensive training and experience using EMDR, with a special focus on ego state therapy and parts work, dissociative disorders, PTSD, and C-PTSD, and attachment trauma. Clinicians who wish to enroll for the certified EMDR can complete their training with Suzanne at their own pace. She helps professionals with the certification process and guides them to a level where they become confident and competent to implement the EMDR techniques at various levels. As a recognized expert in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Suzanne makes it an enriching experience for trainees.
CMCC is now accepting new consultees across various levels of experience. The consultation with the trauma therapist and an EMDRIA-approved consultant includes 10 hours of basic training with the EMDR Institute and 20 hours of consultation for certified EMDR training. EMDR certification allows participants to undergo advanced training in EMDR therapy, followed by an experience that goes beyond basics. The certification provides a higher level of expertise when compared with basic training in EMDR.
The certification is overseen by EMDRIA or the EMDR International Association in Canada and USA. The specialized credential needs additional training and expertise, not just the foundational training in EMDR. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy is being used as part of many treatments, especially when patients are exhibiting symptoms of PTSD, trauma, and other psychological issues. Certified EMDR professionals will not only add solid credentials to their careers as clinicians but will also help provide the best treatments to their patients. EMDR certification is also a testament to their commitment to continuous learning, adapting to changing techniques, and expanding their advanced therapeutic abilities.
Calm Mind Counseling Center now offers EMDR Certification that attendees can complete at their own pace. The trauma therapist provides flexible options for the trainees to achieve their respective goals while enhancing their EMDR skills. The consultation is offered in both a one-to-one setting and a group setting. The individual consultation can be provided in person and virtually. The fee for one hour of consultation is $155. The group EMDR consultation is provided virtually for groups of six, with a minimum of three. The fee is $140 for a four-session package. Suzanne is also offering workshops approved for EMDRIA and NBCC credits. Interested individuals can call the office to learn more about workshops on EMDR refresher courses and Understanding Structural Dissociation. Suzanne also welcomes professionals to join the community of therapists and grow their EMDR skills.
