Syracuse-based Professionals lend their expertise to advance nonprofit’s mission

The McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center announced today the appointment of four new members to their Board of Directors. The Syracuse-based non-profit welcomes first time board members, Catherine Alton and John Serenoand, as well as returning board members Thomas McMahon and Joni Steigerwald.
Catherine Alton is the Co-Founder of Syracuse based digital marketing agency, Robineau Media to their board of directors. Alton has volunteered with McMahon Ryan for over eight years and brings her industry knowledge and marketing expertise to support furthering McMahon Ryan’s mission.
John Sereno is the Senior Vice President of Sales at CH Insurance and brings his development and marketing skills to the board. Sereno wants to make an impact in the community by helping the most vulnerable victims.
Thomas McMahon is the Vice President and General Manager for Toshiba Business Solutions and previously held the position of Board President. McMahon has been a fierce advocate for the center.
Joni Steigerwald of C&S Companies was a past Secretary of the Board that recently joined again. She was previously the co-chairman for the Pinwheel Ball and is dedicated to advocating for the agency’s mission.
“Our Board of Directors represents a cross-section of our community and are advocates for the cause,” said Colleen Merced, Executive Director of McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center. “The board members work hard to provide strategic leadership to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization and provide the oversight needed to achieve our mission and goals.”
