Illumina's Shanghai Employees and Families Help Conserve Wetland Reserve

By: 3BL Media

SOURCE: Illumina

DESCRIPTION:

On October 23, more than 30 Illumina employees and their families volunteered at Shanghai Chongming Dongtan Wetland Reserve, cleaning up marine litter and plastic bottles and learning about wetland biology and the severity of marine litter.

This wetland ecology activity was the first sustainability-related Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity in Greater China. Through education and action, we hope to lead everyone and the next generation to move towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

The Illumina Cares program provides giving opportunities and encourages employees to volunteer in their local communities. We match employee donations, offer paid volunteer time off, and support a volunteer rewards program to earn giving dollars for each hour of volunteer work. Learn more about Illumina’s Corporate Social Responsibility program here.
