A Leader Dedicated to Patient-Centered Progress

Dr. Davidson has built her career on an unwavering commitment to patient outcomes, continuous learning and clinical excellence. With 40 years in the health care profession and nine years in biotechnology, she leads with determination and purpose. Her career began as a clinician in 1984 and evolved into a series of leadership roles where she developed programs that improved efficiency, expanded services and enhanced patient access.

After relocating to the Chicago area in 1992, Dr. Davidson's leadership expanded to include department management, cross-functional collaboration and process improvement initiatives. Her work improved operational efficiency across hospital departments and enhanced communication systems. These early experiences set the groundwork for her later ventures in health care entrepreneurship and biotechnology.

Entrepreneurial Vision in Health Care

In 1998, Dr. Davidson founded Creative Rehab, a private physical therapy practice that became known for its quality of care and strong clinical outcomes. She provided operational oversight and hands-on patient care while building a clinic that drew patients from several states. The clinic's name was chosen with input from her young daughters leaning into her tendency to be creative. One of her daughters now serves as the chief executive officer of Creative Rehab.

Later, Dr. Davidson expanded her professional reach with Creative Pain Solutions in 2005. In this capacity, she collaborated with medical and psychological professionals to reduce chronic pain through behavioral modification. In 2010, she founded Creative Research, Education and Training, seeking to develop evidence-based educational programs for physical therapists to identify and address the root causes of bodily dysfunction.

Advancing Cancer Research and Biotechnology

In 2016, Dr. Davidson and her husband co-founded Creative BioTherapeutics (CBT), a preclinical biotechnology company in Gurnee, Illinois. This firm focuses on developing therapies that address drug resistance in late-stage cancers. "I think being part of Creative BioTherapeutics is the most powerful project I could be working on right now," Dr. Davidson says.

In 2024, Dr. Davidson transitioned from chief operating officer to the role of chief executive officer as her husband moved to chief scientific officer. Together, they continue to advance CBT's mission to deliver safer, more effective cancer treatments. The company has developed a lead drug designed to combat cancer's ability to mutate and resist treatment. "Our drug isn't toxic, so we don't have any off-target or toxic effects typically associated with cancer treatment," she says. "My husband designed it to be non-toxic but effective targeting a critical unmet need."

Recognition and Professional Contributions

Throughout her career, Dr. Davidson has honed her leadership skills. "What made me a leader was always being willing to step forward and do the work when things were difficult and unclear, supporting those around me," she says. Her ability to lead has garnered numerous honors for professional excellence. These accolades include the Outstanding Leadership and Executive Award from The CXO Group in 2026 and the Cancer Drug Resistance Company of the Year award from Life Sciences Review in 2025.

Earlier in her career, in 2005, Dr. Davidson was nominated for the Physical Therapist of the Year award. Her work has also been featured in USA Today, International Business Review and Entrepreneur Magazine's ‘Original Shark' Kevin Harrington's selection of 10 innovative founders.

Commitment to Learning and Mentorship

Dr. Davidson believes her success stems from a lifelong dedication to learning and teaching others. "If I learn something, then I want to teach it to you. I want to help others avoid my mistakes," she says. She also credits her family, her husband and two daughters, for their support and encouragement throughout her career.

Today, Dr. Davidson continues to lead Creative BioTherapeutics, focusing on advancing their anti-cancer therapies. "Now my passion has moved from helping one patient at a time to potentially being able to improve the lives of millions," she says. In biotechnology, she aims to improve survival rates and quality of life for those facing drug-resistant cancers.
