Long Island music school expands with its first franchise, bringing lessons and community programs to Levittown families this spring.

LEVITTOWN, NY / ACCESS Newswire / March 24, 2026 / The New York Musician's Center (NYMC), a Long Island-based music school, announces that its first franchise location in Levittown, New York, will officially open in May 2026. The expansion marks a new phase of growth for the organization as it extends its music education programs to additional communities across Long Island.

The Levittown location will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jonathan and Maria Nerica Miravite, longtime members of the NYMC community and the first franchise owners. Nerica Miravite, who will oversee daily operations, has been a teacher at the organization's Bellmore location and now steps into ownership as the first NYMC franchisee.

"This marks an important milestone for our organization," said Dr. Talonda Thomas, Founder and CEO of the New York Musician's Center. "Seeing one of our teachers grow into ownership and bring our program to another local community reflects the direction we envisioned for NYMC."

The Miravite family, who live in nearby East Meadow, brings experience in music instruction and a strong connection to the local community. Their goal is to provide a supportive environment where students of all ages can develop their musical skills while building confidence through structured lessons and performance opportunities.

To mark the opening, the Levittown location will introduce a Founding Families program. The first 50 students who enroll will receive early enrollment benefits, including discounted tuition, priority scheduling, and recognition as part of the school's initial group of members.

The new site will offer private lessons in piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, and other instruments. Students will also have opportunities to participate in recitals, showcases, and community events designed to encourage progress and engagement.

With the opening planned for May 2026, families in Levittown and surrounding areas will soon have access to NYMC's established music education programs. The new location reflects the organization's continued efforts to expand access to music instruction while maintaining a consistent learning experience across its locations.
