Fish & Richardson Named 2022 Best Place to Work by Human Rights Campaign

Firm Receives Perfect 100 Score for LGBTQ+ Equality for Third Consecutive Year

Fish & Richardson has been recognized as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign, earning a 100% rating on its 2022 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey that assessed more than 1,200 companies on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer workplace equality.

“We are proud to again receive a perfect score as the Human Rights Campaign continues to raise the bar for high marks on its Corporate Equality Index,” said Fish President and Chief Executive Officer John Adkisson. “We tirelessly strive for an inclusive culture where the perspectives, capabilities, and talent of all of our employees are respected. The combined experiences of our diverse teams help drive the innovative legal services we provide to our clients.”

The Corporate Equality Index is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices, and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer employees, and a primary driving force for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. Each year, the CEI successfully works with the country’s top corporations, law firms, and leaders, helping them break new ground in workplace equality.

“This important recognition illustrates Fish’s dedication to advancing diversity in the workplace, and we are honored to again be named a best place to work for LGBTQ+ equality,” noted Jeremy Saks, principal and LGBTQ Affinity Group chair. “I am grateful to be part of a firm that has the drive and initiative to support the achievement of a 100% rating and look forward to our continued work with the Human Rights Campaign to champion the rights of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies.”

Diversity and inclusion is a top priority at Fish. Laying the groundwork through the implementation of a D&I strategic plan, the firm promotes a creative and inclusive culture that values the diversity of people, experiences, perspectives, talents, and capabilities.

Deeply embedded in the firm’s culture are a host of affinity and allyship groups, as well as educational programs, including RainbowFish, the firm’s LGBTQI+ affinity group. Fish has a long history of supporting the LGBTQI+ community, and RainbowFish strives to provide a comfortable place for its members to share experiences and support the advancement of LGBTQI+ employees in all roles at Fish.

Among other D&I honors, Fish was recently named to Bloomberg Law’s first-ever Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Framework, received the highest designation of Mansfield Rule 4.0 Certified Plus from Diversity Lab, and was selected as one of the Best Law Firms for Women for the fourth consecutive year by Seramount (formerly Working Mother Media).
