Artemis Health Launches New Solution to Improve Evaluation and Optimization of Point Solutions

Artemis Console solves leading employer challenge of evaluating effectiveness and value on investment of point solutions, including criteria like cost savings, clinical outcomes and more

Artemis Health, a best-in-class benefits analytics platform, today announces the release of Artemis Console. This new, first-of-its-kind point solution evaluation tool allows benefits leaders and advisors to more easily access and evaluate outcomes, insights and key performance metrics for their benefits programs. Artemis Console provides comprehensive, easy-to-understand program evaluation that goes beyond just the data. The solution highlights areas for improvement and empowers users with insights and takeaways that clearly show if a program is performing well against key indicators.

There are now more point solutions available to employers than ever before. Once a solution is implemented, the majority of benefits leaders (67%) reported challenges associated with measuring and managing these programs. They are constantly struggling to understand if programs are working and if they are worth the investment.

“In a paradigm where point solutions and disruptors are becoming more commonplace, it can be even more complicated to connect the information we receive to actionable insights,” said Patrick Wendel, Product Analytics Manager at Portico Benefit Services. “We believe that having access to the right information - at the right time - benefits our decision making and improves the populations we serve. Working with Artemis has given us access to insights that provide us with the visibility needed to determine the best levers we can pull.”

Artemis Console helps alleviate program measurement challenges by aggregating complete data from benefits solutions, including medical and prescription claims, corporate wellness programs, care management vendors, and more. This data is used to evaluate and grade point solutions, presenting findings through a ready-made library of reports which will initially focus on the top five common conditions as reported by benefits leaders:

  • Diabetes management,
  • musculoskeletal,
  • behavioral health,
  • weight loss/diabetes prevention
  • and hypertension.

The reports utilize a comprehensive evaluation model that accounts for five key performance areas: member engagement, care and utilization, financial impact, member satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.

“At a time when pressure has never been higher to create an attractive and effective benefits program, HR and benefit leaders and their advisors are inundated with promises from their point solutions. It can be completely overwhelming,” said Grant Gordon, CEO and co-founder of Artemis Health. “Artemis Console automatically and continuously measures the impact of point solutions with a sophisticated and trustworthy methodology. With Console, we’re expanding to address one of the most challenging parts of the benefits lifecycle and help benefits leaders get maximum value from their point solutions. Console connects all your data, but also gives easy guidance and insights like ‘you might be spending too much here’ or ‘enrollment is low for this program.’ The balance of powerful but approachable analytics is a game-changer for program evaluation.”

Artemis will add new reports to the Console library for other common conditions, further empowering benefits leaders and advisors in evaluating their point solutions.
