Telescent Appoints Trevor Roots as Chief Financial Officer

Seasoned financial executive brings over 25 years of experience scaling technology companies through rapid growth

Telescent, a leading manufacturer of Optical Circuit Switches (OCS) and automated fiber patch-panels for network and data center operators, is pleased to announce that Trevor Roots has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. With extensive experience leading finance operations for venture capital and private equity-backed technology companies, Roots brings invaluable financial leadership and strategic expertise to Telescent as the company continues its rapid expansion in the hyperscale data center and AI infrastructure markets.

Roots' career spans over 25 years of CFO leadership across the semiconductor, optical networking, and technology sectors.

"Trevor's proven track record in scaling technology companies and driving operational excellence makes him an ideal fit for Telescent," said Anthony Kewitsch, CEO and Co-founder of Telescent. "His deep experience in the semiconductor and optical networking industries, combined with his expertise in high-growth environments, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our market leadership and meet the surging demand for automated fiber management solutions."

Throughout his career, Roots has demonstrated expertise in financial management, ERP implementations, and operational optimization. Most recently, he served as CFO of Jariet Technologies, a semiconductor company developing and manufacturing high-speed data converters. Prior to Jariet, Roots was CFO at Sierra Monolithics, where he was instrumental in growing the company from $15 million to over $70 million in annual revenues while maintaining operating margins in excess of 20%. During his tenure at E-Tek Dynamics/JDS Uniphase, he helped manage the company's explosive growth from $40 million to a $500 million annual run rate and served as VP Corporate Controller following E-Tek's $17 billion acquisition by JDS Uniphase.

"I'm excited to join Telescent at such a pivotal time in the company's growth trajectory," said Roots. "Telescent's innovative robotic patch panel solutions are addressing critical challenges in data center automation and AI infrastructure. I look forward to working with Anthony and the entire team to drive operational excellence and support the company's strategic objectives."

Roots' appointment comes as Telescent continues to gain momentum in the market, recently securing its largest order in company history from a major hyperscale data center operator and expanding its global partnerships. His financial leadership and operational focus will be crucial as the company scales to meet increasing demand for its G5 robotic patch panel system and next-generation automated fiber management solutions.
