System addresses increasing service demands of fleet vehicles and growing labor shortage; nationwide availability expected in 2026

PitPro Automation today announced a fully automated system for tire changes and rotations for Class 3 and smaller fleet vehicles. The system completes four tire changes in under 15 minutes, reducing vehicle downtime by 80-90% compared to traditional methods that take between one and a half to four hours. Fleet owners can request early access to pilot systems at their depots, with nationwide availability planned for 2026.

Proven Solution Addresses Fleet Pain Points

Tire service remains one of the most physically demanding, injury-prone, and time consuming tasks in maintenance operations. PitPro's automated system addresses these challenges by delivering consistent, high-quality tire service to maximize fleet uptime and reduces the injuries on technicians with the ergonomic design.

“Managing service operations across 10,000+ Ford dealers, I saw how downtime and technician shortages cripple fleet profitability daily. PitPro's fleet-focused automation directly solves these operational challenges that impact customer deliveries while improving efficiency,” said Ted Cannis, Former CEO of Ford Pro and Ford Customer Service Division.

Technology and Market Expansion

The PitPro automated wheel changer is designed to fit into a single service bay intended for Class 2/3 and below vehicle repair. Once a vehicle drives onto the platform, two gantries work in tandem to simultaneously begin a coordinated tire change. The system operates in sync to efficiently swap all wheels with minimal manual input.

The company is serving the $175 billion domestic automotive repair market, beginning with the $50 billion tire service segment before expanding to additional maintenance categories including brakes, alignment, and other preventive services.
