RingCentral selected for AI-first business communications and open platform approach

RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE: RNG), a global leader in AI-powered customer engagement, today announced a new partnership with the New York Mets to modernize fan engagement, ticket sales, and business communications across the organization. The Mets are replacing a legacy, on-premise phone system with RingCentral's cloud platform, elevating how employees connect with fans and with each other.

Citing RingCentral's track record with other Major League Baseball organizations, the Mets selected RingCentral for its native Microsoft integrations and commitment to a long-term partnership around their business needs.

“Our goal is to be the most fan-friendly and technology-driven organization in baseball, and that means continually investing in tools that strengthen how we connect with our fans and one another,” said Oscar Fernandez, Senior Vice President of Technology, New York Mets. “RingCentral provides a flexible, scalable communications platform that will help our sales team engage more fans while supporting greater collaboration across the organization. Its open-platform approach and compatibility with our existing technology environment will help streamline workflows, improve visibility and allow us to operate more efficiently.”

With RingCentral, the Mets will:

  • Connect all 800 employees on one platform. RingEX replaces the legacy on-premise system for day-to-day communications.
  • Drive fan engagement. RingCX enables the sales team to call and text every fan lead, with unlimited toll-free and outbound calling.
  • Provide dedicated support as they scale. Advanced Support puts a RingCentral team behind both solutions.

"The Mets came to us with a clear goal: to expand their ability to connect with fans while creating a modern, scalable communications foundation across the organization,” said Joe Jacob, SVP, Global Enterprise Sales, RingCentral. "RingCX will help their sales team act on more opportunities and engage fans at scale, while RingEX gives the whole organization a modern foundation to work from. The result is a better experience on both sides – fans receive faster, more personalized engagement, and the Mets have more tools for their sales operation to run more efficiently."
