The company, founded in 1947 by Frank Dugan Jr., continues to serve homeowners, builders and commercial clients across the region from its current Kansas City, Kansas headquarters.
Westport Glass fabricates and installs custom glass Greater Kansas City projects for both residential and commercial settings. Residential work covers frameless shower doors and enclosures, custom-cut mirrors, glass railings, glass partitions, wine cellars, table tops, insulated glass units and window glass replacement. On the commercial side, the company handles heavy glass walls, storefront glass repair, commercial mirrors, panel railings and manufactured glazing products.
The shop has remained under Dugan family ownership since its founding. Frank Dugan Jr. opened the business on Westport Road in 1947. Bob Dugan Sr. assumed ownership in 1950, and Bob Dugan Jr. took over in 1999, relocating the company to its current Southwest Boulevard location in 2004. In 2024, the company completed a 20,000-square-foot expansion into an adjoining building, the largest expansion in its history. Brothers Brian and Sean Dugan stepped in as co-owners in 2025, representing the fourth generation of family leadership.
