-- Americas Cardroom player “R88P” turned an online poker registration mistake into a $250,000 Mystery Bounty after accidentally entering the $3 Million GTD Pot-Limit Omaha Venom. The player had intended to register for the separate $12 Million GTD No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty Venom. Both tournaments had a $2,650 buy-in.
The confirmed PLO registration could not be canceled, so R88P played the event and advanced to Day 2 on Monday. Mystery Bounties became active that day, and every remaining player was already in the money. Each knockout revealed the eliminated player’s hidden bounty.
R88P eliminated an opponent carrying the PLO tournament’s top $250,000 Mystery Bounty. The result turned the accidental entry into the biggest possible bounty reveal in the event.
The two $2,650 Mystery Bounty Venoms ran as separate multi-day tournaments. The matching buy-ins placed the two formats side by side, but they remained distinct events. The NLH event featured a $500,000 top Mystery Bounty, while the PLO tournament offered a $250,000 top bounty.
R88P said the PLO entry was a misclick and that the no-limit tournament had been the intended registration.
“Best part is I didn’t mean to register PLO, misclicked only meant to play the no limit,” R88P said.
The unusual online poker result was later shared on X.
R88P finished 13th in the tournament, earning $10,840 in prize money and $265,000 in total bounties. The PLO prize pool reached $3,095,000, topping its $3 Million guarantee.
Afterward, R88P requested higher cryptocurrency withdrawal limits. The request was handled immediately, allowing the substantial withdrawal to be processed faster and more smoothly.
