Cornwithslime Demonstrates The Power of Using Slime Products as Invaluable Teaching Aids

Virtual Forum Highlights How Slime Promotes STEM Among Young Learners

VENTURA, CA, July 05, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cornwithslime.com, a leading producer and distributor of Slime products, believes that STEM educators now have an invaluable teaching tool in their arsenal. This assertion was made during a virtual seminar sponsored by the company recently.

Speaking to the audience, via remote link, Gleyna Oleynick, Head of marketing at the Ventura, CA-based company, highlighted the ways in which Slime is being used to fuel more than just fun and games:

"It's great when young kids are introduced to Slime for the very first time, and they create a slime monster – just for fun. That sets the tone for engagement. But what educators now realize, is that Slime is a powerful tool to also introduce kids to the basics of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. And, unlike other teaching tools, learning with slime offers tactile as well as mental interaction."

In her presentation to the forum, Ms. Oleynick stressed upon some of the critical STEM concepts and theories that Slime-based learning can help students to understand. These include understanding the fundamental relationships between polymers (white glue & liquid starch) and Newtonian fluids (water). It allows learners, interested in STEM, to appreciate how, when bonded together, these discrete ingredients become a non-Newtonian fluid (slime).

Associates from the company, that manufactures and distributes slime online, in a variety of colors, shapes, and packages, conducted an elaborate demonstration. Using various Slime products supported by the company, they showed of how, with just some simple ingredients, teachers and school administrators can impart some of those important STEM lessons.

Ms. Oleynick and her team, showed how simple and educative it is to use slime tubs marketed by Cornwithslime, to create a slime monster in just a few simple steps. The 3D-like rendition teaches students about viscosity, flexibility, and stretchability – all invaluable lessons for aspiring STEM learners to grasp early on in their careers.

Underscoring the importance of the demonstration, which also included the creation of objects of various geometrical shapes and sizes, Ms. Oleynick said:

"From triangles to rectangles, and from squares to circles, slime is the ideal teaching aid for schools to use when demonstrating real-world application of STEM. It cost-effective. It's easy to source. It's safe to use. And it empowers learners, new to STEM theory and concepts, to explore and experiment at their own pace."

In her closing address to the distinguished gathering, Ms. Oleynick stressed that Slime made STEM learning fun and exciting for students – which is a key to sticky learning. She also encouraged participants at the forum to check out the company's array of slime online, to learn more.
