Electric aircraft to join our future fleet!

We signed an agreement with Heart Aerospace to acquire the ES-19 aircraft, a 19-seat electric airliner that has the potential to decarbonize regional air travel. United Express regional partner, Mesa Airlines, Inc., has also agreed to purchase and operate the ES-19.

The ES-19 can fly up to 250 miles with minimum noise and zero operational emissions and are set to take flight in 2026. Examples of potential routes include Chicago O'Hare (ORD) to Purdue University Airport (LAF) and San Francisco (SFO) to Modesto City-County Airport (MOD).

United Airlines Ventures and Breakthrough Energy are both identifying and building companies that can help the planet reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions which will help us build a carbon-neutral airline and reach our net-zero greenhouse gas emissions goal.
