Jeff Stoebner Will Continue to Serve FORTÉ as Executive Chairman of the Board

Mounts succeeds Jeff Stoebner, who has served as CEO since 2009 and will continue as Executive Chairman for FORTÉ.

Chris Mounts has been named Global Chief Executive Officer at FORTÉ effective Oct. 1, 2026.

Mounts joined FORTÉ in 2015 as Controller and was named CFO in 2019. During his tenure, he has helped strengthen the company’s financial foundation, operational discipline and systems infrastructure while supporting FORTÉ through significant growth and transformation. In 2024 he was named CFO of the Year by the Kansas City Business Journal. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Missouri State University and brings nearly 30 years of progressive experience to the CEO role, including 18 years in leadership positions.

Stoebner joined FORTÉ fulltime in 1993 and has led the company through a period of dramatic expansion in both the United States and internationally. He was also instrumental in strategically rebranding the company from AVI Systems to FORTÉ. Under his leadership, FORTÉ now serves customers in 22 countries and more than 70 markets worldwide.

His appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to strong financial stewardship, enterprise alignment and continued development of the infrastructure needed to serve customers across a growing global footprint. Winger earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, and master’s degree in accountancy from Kansas State University.
