The 2027 Explorer lineup includes five models: Active, ST-Line, Tremor, ST, and Platinum. Ford offers the Explorer with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, while the Tremor and Platinum can also be configured with a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6. The lineup combines three-row seating with multiple powertrain and equipment configurations.
"The 2027 Explorer gives customers another opportunity to choose a three-row Ford SUV around their individual transportation needs," said a representative of Basil Ford of Niagara Falls. "The range of configurations allows drivers to consider different combinations of powertrain, drivetrain, technology, and interior equipment within the same model family."
Current Basil Ford of Niagara Falls inventory includes 2027 Explorer Active, ST-Line, ST, and Platinum models. An available Explorer Active listed by the dealership uses a 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, and three-row seating for six passengers. The vehicle is rated at 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
The 2027 Explorer Active provides the foundation for the lineup, with Ford listing a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. The model also includes a 13.2-inch center display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster through the Ford Digital Experience.
The ST-Line adds performance-inspired styling and additional equipment, while the ST introduces a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 designed around higher performance. Basil Ford of Niagara Falls currently lists 2027 ST-Line and ST models in its inventory, including four-wheel-drive configurations.
