Earnings To Watch: Semrush (SEMR) Reports Q3 Results Tomorrow

Online visibility management platform Semrush (NYSE: SEMR) will be reporting results this Wednesday afternoon. Here’s what investors should know.

Semrush met analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $108.9 million, up 19.7% year on year. It was a slower quarter for the company, with full-year revenue guidance slightly missing analysts’ expectations and revenue guidance for next quarter missing analysts’ expectations significantly. It lost -2,000 customers and ended up with a total of 116,000.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Semrush’s revenue to grow 14.6% year on year to $111.6 million, slowing from the 23.7% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.08 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Semrush has a history of exceeding Wall Street’s expectations, beating revenue estimates every single time over the past two years by 0.7% on average.

Looking at Semrush’s peers in the sales and marketing software segment, some have already reported their Q3 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. ZoomInfo delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 4.7%, beating analysts’ expectations by 4.7%, and GoDaddy reported revenues up 10.3%, topping estimates by 2.7%.
