Dole Earnings: What To Look For From DOLE

Fresh produce company Dole (NYSE: DOLE) will be announcing earnings results this Monday before market open. Here’s what investors should know.

Dole beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 2.4% last quarter, reporting revenues of $2.10 billion, down 1% year on year. It was a slower quarter for the company, with a significant miss of analysts’ EBITDA estimates and a significant miss of analysts’ EPS estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Dole’s revenue to grow 2.8% year on year to $2.18 billion, improving from its flat revenue in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.47 per share.

The majority of analysts covering the company have reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Dole has a history of exceeding Wall Street’s expectations, beating revenue estimates every single time over the past two years by 3.3% on average.

Looking at Dole’s peers in the perishable food segment, some have already reported their Q2 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Vital Farms delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 25.4%, beating analysts’ expectations by 8%, and Fresh Del Monte Produce reported revenues up 3.8%, topping estimates by 2.2%. Vital Farms traded up 1.8% following the results while Fresh Del Monte Produce was also up 4.2%.

Debates around the economy’s health and the impact of potential tariffs and corporate tax cuts have caused much uncertainty in 2025. While some of the perishable food stocks have shown solid performance in this choppy environment, the group has generally underperformed, with share prices down 2.1% on average over the last month. Dole is up 1.6% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $16.67 (compared to the current share price of $14.32).
