(Matthew Du, NewsUSA Reporter) - Judge Margaret Downie has officially suspended April Sponsel's prosecutor license. Sponsel has refused the validity of charges relating to 14 people in the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. Sponsel was said to have charged the 14 individuals as gang members. This event led to the suspension of her license for at least two years. The act of changing the charge and misrepresenting evidence was in connivance with the police.

Before losing her law license, Sponsel was fired from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.  MCAO Officials said Sponsel was let go because she was incompetent and did not perform her job properly and dutifully.
