Maynard Hatch is a retired pastor and seminary professor. He has lived in one place for his senior years and reflects upon that experience through the stages of life and developmental tasks. The thesis of his book is identifying the clash and complement of the developmental tasks and stages of life between staff and resident, family members and senior adults, and society in general. He is a graduate of Eastern College with a BA in History, Eastern Baptist Seminary with a BD in Education, and NYU with a Ph.D. in Education.
