Since 2018, GLAM4GOOD has donated over $3.6 million in goods and services to support children and families in ACS care.

In response to this devastating, decade-long crisis, GLAM4GOOD, a national nonprofit dedicated to addressing clothing and self-care insecurity while advancing sustainability and empowerment initiatives nationwide, continues its long-standing partnership with the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS)—providing vital resources, confidence, and hope to thousands of the city’s most vulnerable youth and families.

On September 27, 2025, GLAM4GOOD hosted its annual Youth Empowerment Initiative, an ongoing program dedicated to providing clothing and personal care essentials—and fostering dignity, confidence, and healing—for children and young adults in ACS care.

At the heart of the initiative is a transformative Pop-Up Shop Experience at GLAM4GOOD’s Dobbs Ferry headquarters, where donated fashion, footwear, and self-care items are reimagined as tools of empowerment.

This fall's activation served 200 girls, young women, and expectant mothers from 30 residential provider homes across NYC and Westchester, providing access to 10,478 new items with a retail value exceeding $521,000, including clothing, beauty, and personal care essentials.

Since 2018, GLAM4GOOD has donated over $3.6 million in goods and services to support children and families in ACS care—at no cost to the agency or recipients.

“This initiative is about more than clothes—it’s about restoring dignity, confidence, and hope,” said Mary Alice Stephenson, Founder and CEO of GLAM4GOOD. “When children and teens who have faced trauma come into our Pop-Ups, they can choose the new clothing, accessories, and personal care items they need. In that moment, they don’t just receive essentials—they experience a sense of choice and dignity and the chance to have fun and feel supported. That’s the power of compassion in action, and it’s why GLAM4GOOD is committed to transforming industry excess into dignity and opportunity.”

Trusted Partners Creating Real Change:

ACS leadership praised the ongoing collaboration as a vital force in meeting the emotional and practical needs of NYC’s foster youth.

“People come to GLAM4GOOD’s Pop-Ups uncertain, often carrying the emotional weight of crisis, trauma, or displacement,” said Stephanie Wilson, Assistant Commissioner of ACS and GLAM4GOOD Board Member. “But by the time they leave, their arms are full and their spirits are lifted. Their self-esteem is bolstered, their dignity restored. It’s incredible to witness the transformation that happens when someone is seen, supported, and empowered to choose essential items—for free—for themselves and their families.”

The Brands Behind the Impact

This impact is not possible without the generosity of GLAM4GOOD’s brand partners, including:

Tommy Hilfiger, & Other Stories, '47 Brand, Ulta Beauty, Bella Dahl, Cohere Beauty, Emilie Heathe, Lane Bryant, NYDJ, Pact Collective, Saie, American Eagle, Alice & Olivia, White + Warren, and Zadig & Voltaire.
