Annual InfraRed Report Highlights the Companies Shaping the Future of Cloud Infrastructure

Traversal, the leading company building AI for site reliability engineering, today announced it has been named to Redpoint Ventures’ 2026 InfraRed 100, an annual list recognizing ascendant private companies that are building the foundational infrastructure powering the next wave of AI innovation.

Redpoint is a venture capital firm that has invested at the leading edge of platform shifts for decades, backing generational companies like Snowflake, Twilio, Ramp, Stripe, HashiCorp, and Netflix. Redpoint launched the InfraRed 100 in 2023 to recognize emerging companies building the backbone of the AI era across developer tools, security, data, enterprise platforms, and beyond.

“AI is writing more code than any engineering team can reliably manage, and production systems are breaking in ways that outpace human diagnosis," said Anish Agarwal, CEO and co-founder of Traversal. "Our Production World Model™ maps enterprise production environments in real time, and our Causal Search Engine™ cuts root cause analysis from hours to minutes. Recognition from Redpoint reflects the work our team has put in to prove this out inside some of the most demanding enterprise environments in the world, saving them thousands of engineering hours and millions of dollars annually.”

Traversal is building toward what it coined self-driving production: a system that prevents, diagnoses, and remediates incidents autonomously, without a war room full of engineers.

Over the past year, the team has more than doubled, assembling a founding go-to-market team and expanding its engineering organization with leaders from Cribl, AppDynamics, SignalFx, and Splunk. The company has also deepened its research function, publishing more than two dozen papers and bringing in talent from Berkeley, Columbia, Cornell Tech, Harvard, MIT, and Princeton.

Traversal's platform is deployed inside Fortune 100 environments including American Express and PepsiCo. Amex Ventures, the strategic investment arm of American Express, has also made a strategic investment in the company. The AI SRE market now stands at over $32 billion, with Gartner projecting that 85% of enterprises will adopt AI SRE tooling by 2029, up from under 5% in 2025.

To commemorate its fourth year, Redpoint is convening InfraRed 100 founders at SFMOMA for an evening of celebration and intimate discussion of the next chapter to come in the AI era. The full list of InfraRed 100 honorees - and Redpoint’s perspective on the enabling layer powering AI adoption at scale and the year to come - is available here.
