Terminal X, the AI Memory System for alternative asset managers, today announced a technical collaboration with OpenAI to bring frontier AI into institutional investment workflows through a customizable Agentic OS purpose-built for private markets.

The collaboration comes at a pivotal moment for AI in finance. Just days earlier, OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Astra, its latest frontier model, alongside ChatGPT for Financial Services, bringing advanced financial information retrieval, reasoning, and artifact generation to financial professionals. Terminal X extends the capabilities of frontier models into the highly specialized and less standardized workflows of alternative asset management, where proprietary data, institutional knowledge, and investment judgment are critical.

Terminal X’s orchestration architecture connects frontier models to the information that makes each investment firm’s edge.

“Unlike generic AI copilots, every deployment of Terminal X is configured around how each firm, and ultimately each portfolio manager, actually underwrites deals and manages risk. Users can customize easily. Terminal X is building the infrastructure that turns that edge into a systematic ‘Memory’ AI can use,” said Ken Lee, Co-Founder and Head of Engineering at Terminal X.

Every Fund Deserves Its Own AI Memory

| No two investment firms operate alike.

A buyout fund follows a different underwriting process than an infrastructure investor. A real estate investment manager evaluates acquisitions differently from a private credit platform. A sovereign wealth fund combines manager selection, strategic asset allocation, direct investments, and portfolio oversight under a single investment organization.

That institutional judgment is the investment edge. Terminal X is built to encode it.

Rather than forcing firms into standardized AI workflows, Terminal X configures its Agentic OS around how each investor actually researches opportunities, evaluates risk, underwrites investments, and makes judgment calls.

Every investment firm has its own way of underwriting investments, managing risk, and making decisions, said Hyun Hong, Founder and CEO of Terminal X. Thats where most AI tools break down. Weve built an Agentic Memory System that adapts to each firms investment process. Technical collaboration with OpenAI enables us to bring frontier intelligence directly into those workflows.

Today, some of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds and pension funds are already using Terminal X to bring AI into their investment and portfolio workflows.

Every investor has their own way of making decisions. Terminal X encodes that proprietary investment judgment into AI.
