IP Consulting Inc. (IPC) is marking 20 years in business this month, a milestone few managed service providers reach without being acquired. The North American MSP market saw 466 private equity-backed acquisitions in 2025, a 20% jump over 2024 and more than $4.3 billion in disclosed deal value. IPC has remained privately held and founder-led throughout, serving growing organizations across six states and Washington, D.C.

“Voice over IP was the AI of its day fifteen years ago. A lot of companies that didn’t move fast enough got left behind or bought out. We’ve made it twenty years by being the ones willing to change first, not the ones waiting for somebody else to buy us and make that decision for us,” said Milton Moore, Founder and CEO of IP Consulting.

Moore founded IPC in 2006 after working as a Cisco sales engineer, moving the business into managed services during the 2008 financial crisis. The company has grown to a team of 20 serving more than 100 clients across 10 industries, with a 98% client retention rate and revenue up more than 500% since 2006. Its anniversary coincides with a second consecutive ranking on the Channel Futures MSP 501. IPC is also a four-time Inc. 5000 honoree.

IPC’s deepest expertise is in sectors where downtime and data exposure carry outsized consequences, including municipal governments, public utilities, healthcare, and federal contractors. The company operates as a CMMC Registered Practitioner Organization, preparing defense contractors for federal cybersecurity requirements even as the Department of Defense’s CMMC Phase II rollout remains under review following its July 13, 2026 suspension. Underlying NIST 800-171 and DFARS obligations remain in force regardless of that outcome.

“We’re not just chasing the dollar the way some private equity-backed firms are. We manage ourselves in a predictable way, year after year, so our clients can count on us the same way they always have,” said Cherri Mosey, President and COO.

IPC has also expanded its infrastructure migration practice as organizations reassess VMware, and built out Navigate AI, powered by Hatz AI, giving clients governed access to more than 70 AI tools in one platform. Full details at ipconsultinginc.com.
