Validus Capital announced that the firm has expanded its team with the appointment of Michael J. Winn CEPA® as Managing Director.

Mr. Winn brings more than two decades of experience advising founders, closely held business owners, and multi-generational families through valuation, liquidity, and succession events. He will work directly with client families from Validus’s Southern California offices, supported by the firm’s investment advisory, private-investment, family-office, and consolidated-reporting platform.

Based in Los Angeles, Validus Capital is an independent firm with a team leveraging decades of combined experience to help successful entrepreneurs and multi-generational families manage the challenges and complexities of wealth through wealth management, private investments and family office services.

“Mike’s deep expertise in working closely with business owners on succession, exits, and multi-generational planning is a natural extension of the work we do every day at Validus,” said John Krambeer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Validus Capital. “He understands the unique challenges that families can face after years of building their companies, particularly as they navigate the shift from concentrated business wealth to a legacy that can support future generations. We are excited to welcome him to the Validus family.”

“I’m thrilled to join John and the team at Validus Capital,” said Mr. Winn. “Validus has built a comprehensive multi-family office platform centered on long-term relationships, thoughtful investment management, and sophisticated planning for complex families. I look forward to contributing my experience to help client families navigate these important transitions with clarity and confidence.”

Mr. Winn said the move was driven by a single objective: to expand the resources available to the families he serves without changing the personal, hands-on approach that has defined his practice. Clients will continue to work with him directly, now with access to Validus’s four core capabilities—sophisticated investment advisory; institutional-quality private investments and co-investments; multi-family office services; and advanced consolidated reporting and accounting.
