Gutly has been positioned to address this pattern, giving users a structured alternative to prolonged rumination when decision-making and mental overload set in during everyday moments.
The app's core structure is constructed with a set of ten Clarity Lenses, each built around a different mental state. A Gut Check lens taps into instinct before overthinking sets in; Quick offers a fast read for quick decisions; Pros & Cons breaks down trade-offs for harder choices. Rather than offering general advice, each lens applies structured thinking to the specific decision or thought pattern a user brings to it, producing a defined next step instead of an open-ended discussion.
According to a Hercules Designs spokesperson, Gutly is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and French. Pricing starts with a free tier, followed by six paid membership levels, from $2.99 a month to a one-time lifetime option, each of which unlocks additional lenses, daily sessions, and Clarity Chats.
The organization emphasizes that the app is not meant to function as a substitute for therapy. "Gutly doesn't treat, diagnose, or manage anxiety, depression, or other conditions, and it's not a substitute for licensed mental health care," explains the representative.
